"Membership" or "Partnership" at New Beginnings.

We at New Beginnings desire to equip the people of our congregation to do the work of the ministry. (Ephesians 4:11-16)

We believe that God has a purpose and plan for every single person. Because of that belief, we feel that anyone who calls this church home has a God given role to fill in this congregation. We strongly believe that people who call Jesus Chris t Lord should look at themselves as ministers of the Gospel and not church attendees that warm a seat on Sunday. So if anyone decides to join the church we call them "partners" rather than "members". To partner with us in ministry in reaching Sumter county and the surrounding areas for Jesus Christ.

Places you under the care of diligent leaders who will help fortify your faith through solid teaching opportunities
Places you in an environment that will help you identify, develop, and employ your God given gifts in order to help you fulfill you ministry calling.
Places you in an environment to help you fulfill you life mission of leading others into faith in Jesus Christ
Places you in an environment to help you grow in you focus on magnifying God through worship opportunities

Responsibilities of being a partner

I. Each of us has a personal responsibility to participate fully in the purposes of New Beginnings and to receive the benefits listed above.

II. Each of us is responsible to take the initiative in developing relationships with other believers in the Body

III. Each of us is responsible for taking advantage of learning opportunities afforded by the leadership of NBAG

IV. Each of us is responsible to seek to identify, develop, and employ our gifts and abilities for service in the ministry

V. Each of us is responsible for leading others to Christ and bringing them into God's Family

VI. Each of us is responsible for participating in worship. (click here to find out what we mean)

VII. Each of us is responsible to maintain a strong Christian witness in the community so that we never bring reproach on the name of Jesus or His Church

Each of us is responsible to do our part in the financial provision of NBAG and its various projects through the faithful giving of a tithe of our income and freewill offerings

IX. Each of us is responsible to maintain unity in the Body by keeping a good attitude, seeking explanation for things not understood from proper leadership, not participating in criticism, complaining, and gossip. Like any other human organization, there are imperfections here at NBAG. Each of us is responsible to become an agent for solutions rather than an agent for complaining and division.

X. Each of us is responsible for the unity of the Body by practicing the biblical plan for resolution of conflicts. (Matthew 18)

Go to the person you have an issue with and no one else and try to work it out
If that fails, involve one other person for the sake of trying to work it out.
If that fails, then take it to the pastor and church leadership.

Gossip and backbiting destroy, and will not be tolerated. The goal is unity and harmony.

XI. Each of us is responsible to not listen to gossip and backbiting
